INDICATIONS

• Pain in the Achilles tendon, heel

• Chronic, post-traumatic or postoperative irritation
• Inflammatory processes of the Achilles tendon

TYPES OF EXPOSURE

• The continuous change of compression and decompression (similar to a friction massage), thanks to the embedded nodules, speeds up the recovery process and, thanks to the longitudinal grooves, reduces swelling.
• At the same time, proprioceptive stimulation of nerve spindles in the muscle transition improves muscle control. Correctively, sensorimotor activity is positively affected and the neuromuscular control loop is supported. As a result, synchronization of muscle activity occurs.

CHARACTERISTICS

• The inside of the new, viscoelastic padding is equipped with soft, proprioceptively stimulating nodules, as well as longitudinal grooves. The upper third of the tendon and the muscle-tendon junction, together with the “nerve spindles” (tendon receptors) there, are stimulated by two extensions of the wing-like pad.
• A knit with embedded elastic areas in the ventral part of the big bone makes it easier for the patient to put on and take off the support.
• If necessary, it is recommended to use a shock-absorbing heel pad for heel elevations.
• The short part of the knit in the foot area prevents pressure on the 5th metatarsal bone.
• The active support is an anatomically designed knit, and thus it fits perfectly and guarantees high wearing comfort.
• One model fits both right and left.
