Stabilizing orthosis for stabilizing the foot joint

INDICATIONS

• Acute injuries of the capsular ligaments of the ankle joint
• Chronic ligamentous instability
• Postoperative rehabilitation
• Relapse prevention
• Stabilizing the ankle joint by limiting pronation and/or supination
• Conservative therapy for ankle joint deformities
• Ankle fractures (type A according to the Weber classification)

MODE OF EFFECT

• The orthosis protects the sensorimotor system and does not allow such functional foot flexion.
• The orthosis stabilizes the apparatus of the lateral stabilizing capsular ligaments of the foot joint, primarily in combination with shoes.

CHARACTERISTICS

Application:

Airloc ankle fixation is controlled by air. The more air that is pumped into the AirLoc, the tighter the orthosis holds the ankle.

The tightness/air volume is freely controlled by the user of the orthosis as needed.
