INDICATIONS

• •Acute, post-traumatic and post-operative wrist and thumb tendon irritation
• Preoperatively
• Arthrosis of the carpometacarpal joint of the thumb
• Radial tendosynovitis (de Quervain)
• Combined hand and thumb carpometacarpal joint injuries

MODE OF EFFECT

• The integrated, anatomically shaped and individually adjustable aluminum hoops strengthen the wrist.
• As this orthosis has an individually adjustable thumb brace, the carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb are stabilized.
• The orthosis prevents incorrect movements of the distal and proximal wrist joints, as well as the carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joints of the thumb.
• In the course of therapy, as the freedom of movement of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the thumb increases (ensuring functionality), the thumb brace can be removed
