Broad-spectrum peeling.

Pyruvic acid is an alpha-keto acid with keratolytic, antimicrobial and sebostatic properties. Increased acidity and small molecular size give the acid strong transepidermal penetration capabilities. Privic acid can physiologically convert to lactic acid (AHA), thus promoting progressive exfoliation without drying the skin. It promotes the homogenization of the papillary dermis layer and also stimulates the synthesis of collagen, elastin and dermal glycoproteins.

Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that reduces the thickness of the hyperkeratinized stratum corneum, increases the thickness of the epidermal and dermal layers. It promotes the increase of hyaluronic acid concentration in the extracellular matrix, thus moisturizing the skin, making it elastic.

This means that after a piruvex peel, the skin is not so dried out, compared to other chemical peels that work at the same depth of the skin. This peeling is intended for patients with photoaging of the 3rd and 4th degree, because it has antioxidant properties and reduces the damage caused by UV rays of the skin, significantly restores the turgor of the skin, therefore it is suitable for thin skin (with proper preparation). Has lifting properties, smoothes deep wrinkles, reduces skin hyperpigmentation. Thanks to the antibacterial properties of the acid, it is also recommended for acne therapy.

Why choose Piruvex? Because in most cases, pyruvic acid does not cause severe peeling, burning and post-inflammatory pigmentation of the skin, as it can, for example, with glycolic acid.

Indications: Stage III and IV skin aging: slight to moderate skin photoaging, mimic wrinkles, superficial and medium depth wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity, enlarged pores, dull skin with uneven tone, pigmentation spots: sun spots, dyschromia, suitable for skin with a tendency to formation of acne associated with hormonal disorders during menopause.

Exposure time up to 5 minutes, requires preparation with lighter peelings or glycolic acid ampoules for home care.
