Features

SofTec Dorso is a hyperextension orthosis for stabilizing the thoracolumbar transition (L2 – TH8) and straightening the spine.
CFK stays (carbon fiber reinforced plastic stays) are positioned parallel to the spine to avoid direct pressure on the wound area during the postoperative period.
The straightening shoulder strap and tensioners allow for a high intensity of force to be applied to the body without significant effort from the patient. Especially weak and elderly patients can easily and comfortably put on the orthosis using finger loops.
SofTec Dorso offers very pleasant wearing comfort, highly appreciated by many patients.

Mechanism of action

By combining the stable, specially designed knit with the CFK frame and additionally applying the stabilizing, carbon fiber reinforced cross, a functional pelvic support system is created.
The SofTec Dorso construction works against kyphosis formation.
The degree of elasticity of the CFK frame can be uniformly adjusted.
The straightening shoulder strap allows for continuous adjustment of the applied force, adapted to the patient's needs.
