Stabilizing orthosis for stabilizing the foot joint

INDICATIONS

• Rapid restoration of function in the case of injuries to the external ankle ligaments (and bifurcating ligaments of the base of the foot).
• Postoperative protection after ligament suturing/reconstruction
• Chronic ligament weakness
• Conservative treatment of severe distortions and ruptures of the ankle joint
• Capsular ligament sprain
• Prevention of distortions, e.g. in case of sports load

MODE OF EFFECT

• The orthosis has a stabilizing effect and prevents the foot from bending to the side, without particularly interfering with normal movements.
• The MalleoLoc is located antero-laterally to the joint and acts against the displacement of the talus, without restricting the range of motion of plantar flexion.
• With the strap system, it is possible to smoothly adjust the degree of immobilization without limiting flexion and extension.
• The plantar tab helps promote neuromuscular input, and thus the musculature stabilizes the foot joint.
